After losing her very special dog, Jen decided it was time to look for another puppy friend. She was planning to visit Fresno Humane Animal Services. She mentioned this to a coordinator at Woods Humane Society. It turned out that Woods was already planning a trip to that same crowded shelter to rescue 14 dogs. However, the person who was supposed to handle the transport had to cancel. So, Jen decided to step in and take on the task herself! When she arrived, she noticed one little puppy pressing herself against her kennel as Jen said hello. Feeling a special connection, she called Woods and asked if she could bring back one more dog—on the condition that she fostered her. They agreed, and just like that, Jen had 15 dogs to transport! Lucy, the puppy, had some medical issues that needed to be treated and after she was spayed, Jen was finally able to adopt her. Now, Lucy is a huge bundle of happy energy and excited about life!
